天黑路人稀，
月落寒风瑟。
独行山坡上，
谁做同行客？

on the road , so deserted .
with a dim moonlight , 
the autumn wind is blowing , 
so cold , so shivering .

On the mountainside , 
I am climbing up alone , 
feeling so lonely .
Who is willing to accompany me 
 over the mountain ?
