Fourth of the Parable Series--Crocodile’s Tears around 2003 Tag: Parable series
In the village I stopped by, I saw
A drop of green crocodile's tears
Falling on the pile of firewood freshly bundled by a farmer
The sound is like that of the river in front of the gate silence
The crocodile’s dried-up memory is groveling
In the past centuries before the sweeping changes
The wind-carried sands were always filling up the river courses and
The pythons were entwining the green trees and brambles
And now in the place razed to the ground by tears
Its traces of crawling have just fallen on
The site of the famous prehistoric village
While I moored at the bank
In its dried-up tears, I look into the distance
The soil of the native land is becoming yellower
The tropical rainforest is coming by paddling the water
In the swift wind over the river surface
I open the dust-sealed memory.
I hear on the wild chrysanthemum by the wood stake where I am standing and gazing
The sudden echoing of whisper of love hundreds of millions of years ago
From the north to the south
