泰戈尔《吉檀迦利》十八    中英文对照

原文；
       Clouds heap upon clouds and it darkens.Ah,love,why dost thou let me wait outside 
  all alone?
       In the busy moments of the noontide work I am with the crowds,but on this dark
  lonely day it is only for thee that I hope.
       If thou showest me not thy face,if thou leavest me wholly aside,I know not how I am 
  to pass these long ,rainy hours.
       I keep gazing on the faraway gloom of the sky,and my heart wanders wailing with 
  the wind.

译文；
       乌云翻滚，
       层层堆积如重峦，
       天色渐趋黑暗。
       啊，
       爱，
       为什么，
       你让我等待，
       孤孤单单地立于大门外？

       烈日灼人的午间，
       忙碌不休的时刻里，
       我亦置身众人间，
       可是在这样的天色中，
       孤寂又黑暗，
       我全部的等待和期盼，
       只是为了你。
 
       如果，
       你不向我展露你容颜，
       如果，
       你完全弃我于一边，
       我不知道，
       这恼人的时光啊，
       阴雨绵绵，
       漫长难耐，
       叫我如何捱？

       我一直凝望着天空，
       遥远的天空中，
       依旧满眼的乌云惨淡，
       我的心，
       随着焦躁不安的风，
       难以遏止地徘徊和游荡，
       独自饮泣，
       黯然神伤。
