泰戈尔《吉檀迦利》二十九 中英文对照

原文；
       He whom I enclosed with my name is weeping in this dungeon.I am ever 
  busy building this wall all around;and as this wall goes up into the sky day 
  by day I lose sight of my true being in this dark shadow.
       I take pride in this great wall,and I plaster it with dust and sand lest a least
  hole should be left in this name;and for all the care I take I lose sight of my true
  being.

译文；
       我用我的声名，
       把他团团围起，
       他，
       正在这囚牢中哭泣。
       我终日忙碌不已，
       绕着他把围墙堆砌，
       一天又一天，
       围墙渐高入云端，
       投下的影子黑又暗，
       黑暗的阴影中，
       我已看不清，
       那个真实本来的我。

       这围墙高大伟岸，
       让我颇感豪迈，
       连泥沙带灰浆，
       我只管涂抹在墙上，
       一层又一层，
       一遍又一遍，
       唯恐在这声名中，
       还有些须的不圆满。
       我费尽心机，
       我不遗余力，
       终于，
       那个真实本来的我，
       彻底消失在眼前。
