O, bird! You fly away!
Guo Yingjie
On the bough of the parasol-tree
Stands a little bird easily to see
Singing and dancing, here and there
With happy wings drawing pictures in the air
I can’t help shifting eyes from the book
And secretly hiding myself in the wisteria for a look
O, the sound and the curves the creature produces
Tenderly impress the shy grass and the blossoming flowers
Also the fountain opens its heart to queer
Whether it’s a messenger sent by God to cheer
On such a beautiful morning for life
At such a moment for love
Strangely in the distance comes a man
Well-dressed and hurried for his plan
For the noise man creates unconsciously though
Obviously drives the poor to the shadow
O, dear bird, you fly away
Without the chance giving name to the peace of the day
That makes the clover angry and learns to the earth
Regret and regret with a lasting troth
Never come back, you fly away
Never come back, you fly away
