炮声隆隆震天庭，
火借西风强吹劲。
残垣断壁楼舍空，
黑烟蔽日盼太平。

春草凄凄添新坟，
战地黄花祭英灵。
万千冤魂杀不尽，

Gunfire booming like thunder is shaking the earth and the heaven.
The fire is spreading around the land with the help of west wind 
Wrecked buildings and fallen walls are packed with nobody inside
Black smoke has been covering the sun waiting for peace to come again.

Spring grass sadening into tears
piles of new tombs are around the battleland.
People are worshipping their heroes with yellow flowers.
Tens of thousands ghosts dying wrongly can't be killed to the end.
Why don't the fighters from two sides know about brotherhood
