拾荒老人

两鬓苍苍脸腊黄，
佝偻拉车去拾荒。
走街串巷讨生计，
自食其力求安康。

可怜儿女走他乡，
春秋冬夏生意忙。
探问老者何所营？
姑娘嫁妆儿买房。

The old man who's picking up wastes

The old man has a thin and yellow face,greying at temples.
He's pulling a two-wheel cart,bending down his body, collecting wastes from street to street.
He's trying to make a living to be safe and sound.

The old man's sons and daughters are busy making their business far away from home all a year around.
Asked why he's picking up wastes at such an old age?
 he's going to prepare
dowry for daughters and house money   for sons.
